Objectives:
- Provide Travel and Tourism trade oriented skills to students.
- Provide GDS training to the students (First class Amadeus/Galileo/Sabre).
- Equip students to handle and sell to international customers.
Duration: 10 weeks
Eligibility:
Eligibility condition for the course is (10+2) or equivalent. You
should have excellent command over written and spoken English.

Module
1
- The IATA UFTAA foundation course
The 13 modules contained within the Foundation Level will provide
an understanding of the travel professional's role in this industry,
the importance of exceeding customer expectations, and the role
of technology in the travel industry. In addition, the student will
become familiar with related subjects such as industry regulations,
codes, world geography, air fares and ticketing, visa and health
requirements, as well as tour programmes.
The Foundation Course consists of the following subjects:

Module 2
- Global Distribution System Expertise:
The students will get trained through state-of-the-art GDS/CRS simulation
softwares which use artificial intelligence.
Students learn system based skills to use CRS for airline, hotels
and car reservations, availability, creating PNRs etc.
The prospective student will choose one of the following GDS/CRS:
1) Amadeus
2) Galileo
3) Sabre
Module 3
- Destination Expertise:
This module focuses on increasing the understanding of the students
about the tourism industry. It would provide a thorough knowledge
on five international tourist destinations.
After taking this module, a student will be well equipped to guide
their clients towards getting the maximum out of their visits to
those places in terms of important tourist destinations, the climatic
conditions, ethnic population, traditions, accommodation in hotels,
international carriers and so on.
Module 4
- Customer Management Expertise
1) Voice and Accent Training:
In an international travel services environment, a person interacts
with people from different parts of the world where it proves very
beneficial to understand different accents and be suitably efficient
in speaking correctly in terms of clarity, accent and modulation
of speech.
This module provides the students requisite training through scientific
methodology and includes Global English, Correct Pronunciation Techniques,
Voice-Modulation and Accent Neutralisation.
2) Customer Experience Management (CEM):
This focuses on the importance of Customer Experience Management
and includes Customer Service skills, Selling Techniques and Communication
skills.
It also includes the much sought after 'after-sales-services' skills
to maintain the client loyalty, telephone etiquette, communication
styles and 'the art of selling'. This module offers the much needed
skills in business communication and customer handling.
